What Comes Next
NaNoWriMo is over for another year.
One Hour To Midnight was verified at 77, 500 words on 25/11/2012.
Now I have this sense of being at a loose end.
It was a great boost to know that to reach a goal I had to put in so many hours each day to acheive the word count I’d set myself. And I acheived on average 3100 words a day but Like all averages some days were up and others way down.
So what have I done with my effort?
Harlequin UK have offered to critique NaNoWriMo novels before 21st December. So I have submitted it there for a critique.
And Avon Impulse are also offering a similar critique with a view to publishing so I’ve submitted it to them as well.
I also have a submission in with the new Australian arm of Harlequin… Harlequin Escape.
I’ve never been too fond of having all my eggs in one basket and I always value any professional opinion I can get. It’s all grist to a writer’s mill.
But there’s no time to rest on my laurels, I have readers emailing me when can they expect to read Sarah’s Baby.

Well done, Shirley! You’ll be looking forward to a little down time before Christmas hits.
Yes, indeed Sue. Although I’ve promised readers Sarah’s Baby by mid January so as the old saying goes, no rest for the wicked…. and have I got a wicked plot going.
